Frequently Asked Questions
What is Made to Order?
Made to Order means as soon as you place your order online, Char will start making. This takes a longer time frame for you to receive your order – however we believe by offering Made to Order we encourage an alternative buying behaviour; being more mindful and patient. It avoids excess stock and provide extra care, time and focus on every piece
This also provides extra care, time and focus on every piece being made as we’re only making what is really needed – avoiding any excess stock lying around.
How long will my order take to be made + shipping?
Please be patient as handmade pieces take time. Depending on the current order volume we aim to finish made to order items within 2 - 3 weeks. This doesn’t include shipping time frame – depending whether it’s domestic (standard/express) or international it will vary so please allow an extra 2 weeks if you need the piece delivered on time.
During busy periods it may take longer, however you will be contacted if your order is delayed. Once your piece is shipped you will receive a tracking number or email update if it’s being delivered in house (for Metro Melbourne only)
Do you do custom orders?
Yes we do with our hats and bags. There is an additonal fee depending on the alterations as it requires me to pattern make and sample to readjust the products.
You can send through an email info@char.studio with what you’re thinking and we can chat further.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes we do – We offer a flat rate shipping of A$25 for International orders
How can I pay?
We accept debit/credit cards and PayPal payments through our online store.
